Breakup with Shatta Wale a blessing in disguise – Shatta Michy
Diamond Michelle, widely known in entertainment circles as Shatta Michy, has disclosed that her breakup with self-acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale has been a blessing in disguise, ABC News can report.
The two made their separation known this year after months of rumours about their rift. It is unclear what exactly caused them to part ways.
Shatta Michy, with whom Shatta Wale has a child, told Joy Prime, she has experienced various levels of personal development including developing a strong personal relationship with God after the breakup.
According to Michy, her ultimate goal after staying away from Shatta Wale is to be the best version of herself.
“The goal is to be my very self, the most authentic version of myself, embracing what I truly am. In terms of achieving goals since I have left, I have achieved quite a few goals which came quick, personal goals like being closer to God, I cannot leave my room today without saying a prayer to God, without reading a verse from the bible and it hasn’t always been like that. They do say that at your lowest, you seek the lord and it’s something I did at my lowest and he lifted me up…I’ve been motivated from this situation, much more than I ever was, I’ve been motivated to do proper things, I can say it was a blessing in disguise for me, it is a blessing for me” she said, ABC News can report.
In addition to her personal development, the singer indicated that she has opened businesses that are doing steadily growing.
“I’ve bought a house for myself within two months of the breakup, there’s more to be achieved. I launched a skincare line, glam by Michy, I was just testing the waters and it just worked for me. I now understand when they say when you walk with God, you walk in confidence because he comes through for you when even you don’t believe that you could do this. I have my chopius food business going very strong.
“I am doing almost everything I’m supposed to be doing at this particular time of my life. There’s a certain kind of personal development that I’m going through right now, a transformation, it’s such an empowering feeling” she noted.
Shatta Michy further revealed that she will on January 5, next year celebrate her “one year of freedom” after the breakup adding that “I’ve learned things the hard way, I’m not bitter, I’m the happiest girl at this point in my life, I don’t have everything I want, I have everything I need and I’m grateful to God for that.”
