‘Bring It On’ – Accra Giants Set To Revenge Against Ashanti Warriors In MTN Skate Soccer League Final
Captain of Accra Giants Gariba Sanni is very determined to lift the trophy at the 2019 MTN skate soccer final on Saturday November 30.
The sensational player said this is the time to revenge the defeat the suffered in the hands of the Ashanti Warriors in Kumasi.
He said with the support of his home fans at the Accra Sports Stadium, the Accra Giants will certainly win because they have really prepared to win and entertain the fans.
The last time the two top skate soccer teams met earlier in the year on May 25, 2019, the garden city lads won by 3-2 at the Kumasi Social Center.
In a previous match during the Binatone Challenge, the Accra boys convincingly won by 4-1, so the final game on Saturday will be a real clash of the titans to settle scores and win bragging rights as well as receive fantastic prizes from the sponsors.
The game comes off at Accra Sports Stadium (Center Tennis Court), and the event is dubbed ‘Bring It On’ with sponsorship from MTN and Binatone.
The Two top clubs from the capital, Accra Giants and the pride of the garden city, Kumasi Ashanti Warriors have promised to exhibite a class game as they have learnt new tactics and game plans.
Captain of Accra Giants Gariba Sanni told sports reporters his team is ready for the cup.
The 3rd and 4th placed teams involving Western Tigers and Zongo Lions would also get cash incentives.
The Most Valuable Player, Best goalkeeper and the Goal king and the two referees on the day would also get products from the sponsors.
The organisers of the event, International Federation of Skate Soccer (IFSS) have appealed to Ghanaians to storm the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, November 30 to cheer the disabled sportsmen who will display in the final of the MTN Skate Soccer league.
Albert K. Frimpong, CEO of IFSS who is also a board member of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) commended the media for promoting the Skate Soccer game and other para sports.
He expressed that disables athletes need support, so Ghanaians and corporate Ghana must come to their aid.
He commended MTN and Binatone for sponsoring the Skate Soccer league and prayed that other companies will come on board.
Skate is a game dedicated to the development of the physically challenged members of the society with the key focus of getting them off the streets and create an environment that gives them the opportunity to showcase their talents through the game of soccer.
