Builsa South DCE Daniel Gariba Accused of Assaulting Assembly Staff

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Builsa South, Daniel Keame Gariba, has been accused of physically assaulting the Head of the Business Advisory Unit of the Assembly, Saeed Jasper Mohammed, leaving him hospitalized.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Wednesday evening. Witnesses claim the DCE punched the victim multiple times, causing severe bleeding from his nostrils and rendering him unconscious. The assault has left Assembly staff in shock, questioning why a public officer would resort to such violence, disregarding the principles of professionalism and public service.

Following the incident, the DCE allegedly boasted, “You can go to the Fumbisi police station; not even the IGP can help you.”

Victim’s Condition

Saeed Jasper Mohammed, who is also a journalist, is currently receiving medical care. A medical report indicates that he sustained injuries, including severe neck pain, bleeding from the nostrils, and lacerations on his lips.
