Busunu: Abu Jinapor Donates 2nd Ambulance To Health Center
Handing over the vehicle to the community at a short ceremony at the Palace of the Busunuwura, the MP said improving access to quality healthcare is one of his major priorities.
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Damongo Constituency, Samuel Abu Jinapor has presented an ambulance to the Busunu Health Center in the Damongo constituency of the Savannah Region. This is the second ambulance the Busunu Health Center is receiving from the Damongo MP following the breakdown of the first one that was earlier donated to the Busunu community by the MP.
Handing over the vehicle to the community at a short ceremony at the Palace of the Busunuwura, the MP said improving access to quality healthcare is one of his major priorities.
Hon. Jinapor indicated that the ambulance without doubt would help the centres to promptly respond to emergencies and also enable the centre to quickly transport patients on referral to the Damongo Catholic Hospital and other facilities.
The MP called for proper maintenance of the ambulance, to keep it in good condition since the first one he donated was not properly handled in order to achieve the intended purpose.
He said the first ambulance that was donated had an engine breakdown which he will work on and give to the Achubunyor electoral area for the same purpose since they rely on either Damongo or Busunu anytime there is an emergency.
He disclosed further that a lot would be happening in Busunu in the coming months including the official handing over and commissioning of the Busunu Astroturf which he solely funded and the the commissioning of the Busunu Senior High School after the completion of the project in the coming months with lots of projects in the pipeline including the construction of classroom blocks and expansion of electricity to parts of the Busunu electoral area.
The paramount chief of the Busunu traditional area, Busunuwura Monasa Jonokpowu used the opportunity to applaud the Damongo MP for his tremendous contribution to drive towards bringing quality health care to the people and the various developmental projects that keep springing up in the Busunu traditional area kind courtesy the MP.
The Busunuwura mentioned that the Busunu traditional area will forever be grateful to him for all that he is doing for them and urged him to continue to do more for them.
The MP at a separate meeting with the staff of the Busunu health centre has pledged to give to the facility 3 brand new motorbikes, a generator set, a delivery bed with lamps and medical supplies including some renovational works at the facility as well as the construction of a nurses bungalow to solve the accommodation problem that has been put before him by the staff of the facility as some of the problems they are facing.
