The Abokomanhene of Awutu Awin-taso in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region, Nai Akufu has been crushed to death by a hit and run Sprinter Benz Bus at Kese Wokan on the Kasoa-Cape Coast Highway.
The unfortunate incident occurred on Sunday afternoon around 2:30 PM.
An eyewitness Yaw Obed told Kasapa FM News Yaw Boagyan that the late Nai Akufu was crossing the highway when the car heading to Accra from Cape Coast direction hit him, killing the chief on the spot.
The driver of the vehicle failed to stop after running over him.

Police were later informed about the incident following which they came to convey the body to the morgue.
Police have launched investigations into the accident.
