CAF CONFED CUP: Dreams secure historic semi-final berth for the first time in club’s history

Dreams FC has now achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first Ghanaian team to reach the semifinals of the CAF Confederation Cup since the notable achievements of Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko back in 2005 during the inaugural edition of the tournament.

Dreams FC, representing Ghana in the ongoing CAF Confederations Cup, made history by advancing to the semi-finals of the competition for the first time in the club’s existence.

After securing a narrow 2-1 victory in the first leg in Bamako, Dreams FC aimed to secure their spot in the next round at home in the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Antwi, who played a crucial role by scoring two goals in the first leg, continued to be a key figure in the team’s strategy.

Throughout the campaign, Antwi has been a guiding force, contributing four goals and two assists, showcasing his leadership qualities and influencing the team’s success.

Despite controlling much of the second leg against Stade Malien, Dreams FC found themselves trailing after Diaby Yoro’s goal in the 60th minute added tension to the match.

Dreams leveled the score with a goal by Sylvester Simba in the 70th minute, securing victory for the home team with a 3-2 aggregate scoreline at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
