CAF U-23 Championship: Black Meteors Coach Ibrahim Tanko names 22-Man squad

The competition starts on June 24 and will end on July 8 in Morocco with the best three countries representing Africa at the World event.

Ghana’s Black Meteors head coach, Ibrahim Tanko has named his 22-man squad to begin preparation for the 2023 CAF U-23 Championship in Morocco.

The gaffer has handed call-up to 22 local players to start camping today at the GhanaMan Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram ahead of the tournament.

Ghana are in the same group as hosts nation, Morocco, Guinea and Congo Brazzaville for the tournament that serves as a ticket to play at the Olympic Games.

Ghana are searching for a ticket to represent Africa at the event for the first time in 20 years since their last appearance at the tournament in 2004 in Athens in Greece.

The competition starts on June 24 and will end on July 8 in Morocco with the best three countries representing Africa at the World event.
