CAF U-23: Morocco’s Young Atlas Lions beat Ghana’s Black Meteors ‘wotowoto’

Ghana’s Black Meteors were beaten to a pulp by the Young Atlas Lions of Morocco in their second group game of the ongoing 2023 CAF U-23 Championship.

The Moroccans whitewashed their Ghanaian counterparts with a commanding display against a fragile and clueless Ghana team.

Morocco started the game on a blistering pace and dominated the play with mouth-watering and eye-catching display leaving the Ghanaians in awe throughout the opening minutes of the match.

Morocco took an early lead thanks to perfectly placed Michael Richardson finish to put the hosts 1-0 up to disturb and disstabilized the Ghana team.

Ismael Saibari doubled Morocco’s lead brilliantly from close range after beating the offside trap with a chip over the goalkeeper.

Halfway through the opening 45 minutes of the match, Yanis Begraoui finished off a great team goal to make it three for Morocco with 15 minutes to the end of the first 45 minutes of the match.

Begraoui got his brace moments later to make it 5-1 to the hosts nation who were at the point cruising to a comfortable win.

Ghana must beat Guinea in their final Group A game of the tournament on Friday or face early elimination.
