A Flagbearer Hopeful of the NDC, Dr. Kwabena Duffour has stated that the Volta and the Greater Accra regions will be key in the selection of his Running Mate.
Dr. Duffour explained that the two regions are a major Stakeholder for the sustenance of the Party adding that whilst the Volta was the NDC’s World Bank, the Greater Accra region equally gives the Party a substantial number of votes.
The former best Finance Minister and Governor of Bank of Ghana was speaking in an interview with Bonohene Baffour Awuah of Accra based Kasapa fm on Monday on his Flagbearership ambition.
He however expressed worry over the drop of 6.5% in the voting pattern in the Volta region over the years stressing that there was the need to restore confidence in the people of the Volta region.
“On the running mate as you know I come from the Ashanti region so the choice could be from the Volta or Greater Accra regions.

He indicated that he is ready to change the fortunes of the votes in the Volta region should he be given the mandate to serve as NDC Presidential Candidate for the 2024 general elections.
Dr. Duffour later appealed to all disgruntled Party members not to lose hope in the NDC but support him bear the flag of the NDC for the betterment of their living conditions.
