Former Ghana winger Christian Atsu described Black Stars’ win over Switzerland as important ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. 

Debut goals from Mohammed Salisu and Antoine Semenyo were enough to give the Black Stars an impressive 2-0 victory over Switzerland on Thursday.

The 30-year-old during his days with the Black Stars was a swift powerful winger blessed with creativity and amazing shot techniques. He was a focal figure in the Black Stars between 2012 and 2017 during which he won the Africa Cup of Nations Goal of the Tournament, and Africa Cup of Nations Player of the Tournament in 2015.

His favourite position is what is now being battled out for by the likes of Osman Bukari and Fatawu Issahaku.

The Black Stars will be getting ready for Portugal in their opening game on November 24, 2022, before locking horns with South Korea and Uruguay on November 28 and December 2 respectively.
