Christians admonished to show commitment to God for due reward

“This miracle from God in the Old Testament still holds true for everyone who sacrifices and commits himself or herself to the things of God and to the welfare of God’s people because no one goes hungry when God is made priority,”

Apostle Lawrence Otu Nyarko of the Church Of Pentecost (COP) has admonished Christians to show full commitment to the things of God, adding that when they do that they would be blessed by the Almighty.

Preaching at the climax of a six-day prayer, worship and thanksgiving service termed Greater Works at the Bompata Assembly of the Pentecost International Worship Center (PIWC) last Sunday, Apostle Nyarko said no one sacrificed for God and goes hungry.

He noted that the Lady of Zarephath in the Bible after sacrificing her last dough and oil for Prophet Elijah got unlimited resources from God to look after herself and her child.

“This miracle from God in the Old Testament still holds true for everyone who sacrifices and commits himself or herself to the things of God and to the welfare of God’s people because no one goes hungry when God is made priority,” the Finance and Administrative Director at COP stated.

Apostle Nyarko said there were levels of sacrifice and mentioned that one must first be completely and totally committed to God as well as show commitment to the things of God and the wellbeing of God’s people.

He reminded the church that whatever they do for God would never go unrewarded because God’s specialty is to show kindness to those whose hearts are committed to Him in sacrifice.

Preaching on the topic ‘Acceptable Sacrifice’, Apostle Otu Nyarko commended the Bompata congregation for showing good heart to God and prayed that they have abundance of God’s unlimited resources and goodness.

“My prayer for you and all Christians who continue to sacrifice time, effort and resources for the good of God’s people and Kingdom is that you enjoy the kindness of God and prosper in life as your soul prospers,” Apostle Nyarko prayed.

Performance

Earlier on in the day, Moses OK, a famous Minister of the Gospel and Musician, treated the Bompata PIWC worshippers to uplifting songs.

Doing about six songs from his first and second albums, Rev OK said God has never disappointed those whose trust is in him.

He noted that he was spared a death situation when the wife prayed and reminded God of their sacrifices to him.

Appreciation

Host and resident Pastor of PIWC Bompata Assembly Joshua Kwabena Donkor commended the congregation for their continued sacrifices.

He blessed all the preachers and musicians who attended the Greater Works Conference and noted that God was going to show His face to everyone who showed up at the conference and sacrificed for the good of God’s kingdom.
