The Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) has vehemently rejected the appointment of Madam Henrietta Lamptey as the Registrar of Birth and Death Registry.

According to the Association the appointment of a non-Civ Servant to replace a civil servant was unlawful adding that Madam Henrietta Lamptey was the Personal Assistant to former Local Government Minister Hajia Alima Mahama, a situation which makes her a Politician hence disqualifies her for the position.

Registrar to prepare handing over notes and hand over to Madam Henrietta Lamptey within ten(10) days, the hurried manner in which the Deputy Local Government Minister mr. OB Amoah introduced Madam Henrietta Lamptey to the staff of Registry before the deadline of Handing over, smacks of political interference.
