CLOGSAG Members Raise Concerns over upcoming Congress
the move by the incumbent executive secretary of the Association Isaac Bampoe-Addo to make all delegates converge at a centre in Cape Coast for the congress and election of new executives was not in the interest of the general membership
Some members of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association Ghana, have raised issues with an upcoming delegates congress scheduled for Tuesday January 3.
According to the aggrieved members, the move by the incumbent executive secretary of the Association Isaac Bampoe-Addo to make all delegates converge at a centre in Cape Coast for the congress and election of new executives was not in the interest of the general membership of the association.
They described the action by the executive secretary as draconian and clandestine, aimed at manipulating the elections to enable him and his “corrupt gang” hold on to power at a poorly organized congress.
The members wonder why the executive secretary issued another communiqué detailing the changes just days to the congress knowing very well that most delegates had travelled to various parts of the country to celebrate the festive season with their loved ones and might not be able to make it to the congress center in Cape Coast.
