Comoros kicks Ghana out of 2021 AFCON

Comoros Island clinched their historic win over the four-time African champions on Tuesday.

Ghana was eliminated in the group stage of the 2022 African Cup of Nations with a 3-2 loss to tournament debutant Comoros in what has been the biggest shock of the tournament.

Ghana fell behind in the fourth minute; had Captain Andre Ayew harshly sent off in the 25th minute, and was 2-0 down in the 61st minute.

The Black Stars levelled with two goals in 13 minutes late in the game, only to concede again when Ahmed Mogni swept in his second goal in the 85th minute and gave Comoros its biggest soccer moment ever.

Ghana had gone into the third group game with only a point from two games – after losing to Morocco and drawing with Gabon.
