The National Union of Ghana Students as part of its mandate to cater for the welfare of the over 12.5 million Ghanaian Students embarked on a mission to support the flood-induced victims in the North and Central Tongu districts.

Yesterday, around 10 PM, the President of NUGS together with his National Officers and selected Volunteer Teachers from NUGS’s respective institutions arrived at Adidome in the North Tongu District to join the initial team of volunteers dispatched on grounds in the Central and North Tongu Districts.

The objective of the Union is to continue its volunteer teaching project to assist these young displaced students to catch up with the curriculum and propel their academic endeavors.

The Union is working hard to provide them with the help and resources they need during this challenging time. The President is of the view that “Together, we can make a difference and bring hope to those affected,

He also expresses his appreciation to all and sundry who supported their endeavor, especially the 3 foundations, and calls for more support going forward.
