COVID-19 Epidemic: Prophet Appiah donates to two communities to Stop the Spread

Founder and Leader of Shinning Grace Chapel International, Prophet Isaac Appiah, has joined the fight against coronavirus epidemic in Ghana by donating protective equipment to the people of Kokofo Mensase and Monnor communities in the Ashanti Bekwai Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The distribution which according to the Man of God forms part of the Church’s contribution towards the fight against the coronavirus pandemic is also part of the Church’s social responsibility activity. He said with himself as the father of the church his intention is to help protect the entire residence of the two communities and to encourage them to protect themselves from the deadly disease while curbing the spread of the virus.

The items include hand Sanitisers, packs of Tissue, liquid soaps for hand wash, veronica buckets, Dustbin, soaps among other safety gears and an undisclosed amount of money for the aged, needy and vulnerables in the said communities.

At a mini durbar at the Mansase and Monnor communities, the beneficiaries were admonished to strictly adhere to the directives of President Nana Akufo-Addo by duly observing the lockdown and also respect the basic precautionary measures outlined by the health authorities, including hand washing with soap under running water, using alcohol based sanitizer to clean your hands, covering your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, observing social distance and avoid coming into contact with persons showing symptoms of fever and flu.

In an interview with Ghananewsonline.com.gh, Ogya Nyame, as he is popularly known in the ministry said “I have been ashamed and disappointed upon seeing a post on social media where a pastor has posted his mobile money and bank account numbers asking church members to pay their collections through, this is the time the church is required to pay back to society and the vulnerable in the church. Let’s show them love, let us be supportive to the needy,” he appealed.

He applaud the President for the intervention so far to curb the spread of the virus most especially for establishing the COVID-19 fund which he believe is to help the needy and vulnerable in the country.

Receiving the donations especially the sanitizers, Nana Kwasi Agyei, the Chief of Kokofo Mensase expressed his profound gratitude to Prophet Isaac Appiah and the entire membership of the Shining Grace Chapel International for their kind gesture.

He called on other benevolent individuals and organisation to follow the footsteps of the leader of the church in times like this.
