COVID 19 FIGHT: Ho Central MP Donates to Radio Stations in Ho

Member of Parliament for the Ho Central Constituency, Hon Benjamin Komla Kpodo has donated eleven cartons of hand sanitizers, a carton containing 24 bottles to each radio station in the Municipality.

This is in recognition of the crucial frontline role of the media, especially in the fight against Covid 19.

Presenting the items on behalf of the Member of Parliament, a former Ho Municipal Chief Executive who doubles as Ho Central Constituency Secretary for the Nation Democratic Congress Hon Isaac Kodobisa, thanked the media for the hardworking Spirit exhibited over the period therefore and urged practitioners to not relent in their pivotal role in the development agenda of Ghana.

Receiving the items on behalf of the radio stations, Kafui Kanyi, Volta Regional Chairman of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), thanked the Hon Member of Parliament for the support. In a statement, I Regional GJA President reminded of the fact that, I Him Member of Parliament earlier, made some donations to the Regional Press Centre.

He called on corporate Ghana and other well meaning Ghanaians to support the media, especially in times like these.

Mr Kanyi appealed to Hon Benjamin Komla Kpodo to not relent in his contributions towards the development of the Municipality.

The Presentation which was done at the premises of Volta Star Radio, saw in attendance, representatives of some of the radio stations and selected members of the NDC in the Ho Central Constituency. The Constituency Communication Officer, Sefadzi Agama was hopeful the donation would serve a good purpose.

Meanwhile, the donation forms part of the the Hon MP’s COVID-19 mitigation strategy, which has seen him provide hand washing equipment and consumables to all markets centers, lorry station, both public and private health service providers, security agencies and the Veterinary services department. He also donated items to 65 traditional areas within the Municipality among others. According to the Hon Member of Parliament, all efforts must be engaged would leave no stone unturned in protecting the people of Ho Central from the ravages of COVID-19.

Beside these donations, the MP has also procured bales of government approved fabric and contracted dressmakers within the Municipality, to produce FDA standard nose masks for distribution to the vulnerable.
