COVID-19: Government absorbs Water Bill amid lockdown

As part of the efforts to contain the deadly coronavirus pandemic in Ghana, the government has announced plans to absorb water Bills of Ghanaians for 3-months in the lockdown areas including Greater Accra, Kasoa, Tema, and Greater Kumasi.

This was made known by the President, Nana Akufo-Addo in his 5th address to the nation.

Again, the President said, the Ghana Water Company Limited and the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) have been directed to ensure a stable supply during this period in the country.

The President further announced a lucrative package for all health workers across the country, this include, nonpayment of taxes, increment of emoluments, among others.
