COVID-19 Lockdown: Government absorbs 3 months Utility Bills

As part of efforts to contain the deadly coronavirus pandemic in Ghana, the government has announced plans to absorb Utility Bills of Ghanaians in the lockdown areas – Greater Accra, Tema, Greater Kumasi and Kasoa.

This was made known by President Nana Akufo-Addo in his 5th address to the nation.

According to the President, the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) have been ordered to suspend any disconnection within this period in the affected areas.

The President further announced a lucrative packages for all health workers across the country, which includes, nonpayment of taxes, increment of emoluments among others.
