With growing momentum, the NDC is expected to continue advocating for electoral reforms and engaging with stakeholders to ensure a fair and transparent election process.
The Central Regional branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), spearheaded by Prof. Richard Kofi Asiedu, has taken a firm stand against the Electoral Commission (EC) with a successful “Enough is Enough” demonstration in Cape Coast.
The protest, held simultaneously across all 16 regions of Ghana, drew thousands of supporters and party executives, who voiced their concerns about the allegedly flawed voter register.
Prof. Asiedu, the Chairman of the NDC in the Central Region, has been a strong advocate for electoral reform. The demonstration highlighted the party’s resolve to secure 20 parliamentary seats in the region and a decisive victory for H.E. John Dramani Mahama in the upcoming elections.
The large turnout underscored the party’s commitment to ensuring a transparent and credible electoral process. The NDC is calling for an independent audit of the voter register to guarantee free and fair elections.
Under Prof. Asiedu’s leadership, the Central Regional NDC has reinforced its dedication to democratic principles and the rights of Ghanaian citizens. This protest represents a significant step in the party’s push for electoral reform and sets the stage for a competitive electoral contest.
With growing momentum, the NDC is expected to continue advocating for electoral reforms and engaging with stakeholders to ensure a fair and transparent election process.
