The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has assured the public that there will be no possibility of cheating at gas filling stations with the implementation of the Cylinder Recirculation Model (CRM).

Mohammed Abdul-Kudus, the Communications Manager of NPA, made this known during an appearance on Accra-based Adom FM on Tuesday.

He addressed concerns about potential discrepancies in the quantity of gas in filled cylinders, emphasizing that automation ensures accuracy.

“These concerns have been raised, but just as we trust the quantity in canned products because they are filled automatically, the same will apply to the gas cylinders.

The cylinders will be sealed automatically, with no human intervention that could lead to cheating,” Abdul-Kudus explained.

He further assured that customers who are still doubtful will have access to scales at the filling stations to weigh their cylinders and verify the correct measurements.

“There will also be a scale available, so if you are in doubt, you can weigh your cylinder to verify the measurement.

So we can give the assurance that there is no cause to doubt the quantity,” he added.

The Cylinder Recirculation Model (CRM) aims to provide at least 50 percent of Ghanaians with access to safe, clean, and environmentally-friendly LPG by 2030
