Crocked Alfred Duncan set to miss Sassuolo encounter against Sampdoria
Ghana midfielder Alfred Duncan is one of four U.S Sassuolo players who could miss their Sunday’s clash against Sampdoria through injury.
Duncan missed the Neroverdi’s 2-1 victory over Torino over the weekend.
The Ghana international has been carrying the injury for the weeks which forced coach Roberto De Zerbi to omit him from the squad for the win against Toro.
The 26-year-old did not show up at the side’s Monday training which has prompted report that he could miss the Italian Serie A game against Sampdoria.
Other players such as Vlad Chiriches , Gregoire Defrel, Marlon, Gian Marco Ferrari and Alessandro Tripaldelli all missed the training on Monday.
But reports from the Mapei Stadium suggest that Duncan, Tripadelli and Chiriches are to be evaluated before the trip to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Sunday.
Ferrari will return within 3-4 weeks while Defrel is expected to join the team later this month.
Duncan has made 13 league appearance, scoring 1 goal and tallying 5 assists.
He is heavily linked to join Fiorentina in the ongoing January transfer window after finding regular game time difficult to come by.
