Dada KD: Singer ‘lashed’ after appearing to mock Mahama’s running mate
"So can’t they do something about Grandma’s dressing code? Ei! Let me pass and go eh! They’ll definitely come after me with insults but trust that we have become accustomed to their daily insults," the Fatia Fata Nkrumah hitmaker wrote.
Highlife star Dada Kwaku Duah, professionally called Dada KD, has come under severe abuse after he appeared to mock Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang.
In a September 4, 2024, Facebook post, the singer called Prof Opoku-Agyemang a grandmother and contended her sense of fashion was poor. He attached a picture of Prof Opoku-Agyemang at what looked like a National Democratic Congress (NDC) programme, to explain his point.
“So can’t they do something about Grandma’s dressing code? Ei! Let me pass and go eh! They’ll definitely come after me with insults but trust that we have become accustomed to their daily insults,” the Fatia Fata Nkrumah hitmaker wrote.
In the comments, among many multiple admonishment, Sunu Desmond Larry Hoover wrote: “You are bigger than this kind of politics bro [emoji in shades] Stay focus[ed] and strong.”
Media personality Caleb Nii Boye asked, “Senior man, so [should] she wear skin tight or show you breast? Let’s elevate from this style [of politics].”
Nana Yaa Akyere Mensah challenged Dada KD to “post your grandmother, let’s see,” after saying, “You seem to lack common sense!! Panyin toto.”
Blessed Lillian accused the Highlife veteran he was “benefiting from this government,” so “you’ve lost your mind. You lots should not be allowed anywhere closer to power ever again. Shame on you and all that think like you”.
Former Education Minister Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has been maintained by former President John Dramani Mahama as his running mate for the December 7 elections, after first choosing her in 2020.
On the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the pair seek to reset Ghana’s economy.
