People of Agbozume in the Ketu South Municipality of the Volta Region are in shock after they discovered an abandoned dead body on Saturday morning.
The body of a young man suspected to be in his early 40s was found in a stagnant lake at a community called Gbewordokorpe, about a kilometer away from the Agbozume Market near Elokorpe.
Community folks who woke up to the sad scene on the early hours of Saturday, 14th December, 2019 were very astonished as they attributed the murder to various reasons.
They assumed that, the man was either killed from elsewhere and dumped there for ritual purposes or he was drunk and drowned himself.
A visit to the scene by our roving reporter, Francis Edzorna Mensah revealed that, the swallen body seems decomposed, however, all the dresses on him were intact.
When contacted, the immediate past Assemblyman for the Dzaglame Electoral Area, Lord Lucus Gbewordoh said, he has reported the issue to the Agbozume Police and they are working on it.
Meanwhile, hundreds of residents have gathered at the area to take a look at the body as local media announced it on air.
