Derrick Mensah (Demenz), a Physician Assistant student of College of Health Kintampo (COHK) over the weekend picked up two exclusive Awards during a ceremony organized by Students Representative Council (SRC) of the School. It was dubbed “The Legendary Awards Night’.
He was adjudged the MOST INFLUENTIAL STUDENT as well as the BEST STUDENT ENTREPRENEUR.
The annual awards is aimed at recognizing the efforts of hardworking students in uplifting the image of the institution.
The ceremony took place on Saturday night with several high ranking dignitaries in attendance.
Derrick Mensah is a successful young entrepreneur who is currently combing academic work and business.
Among the companies he manages are Synergy Micro-Credit, Nurse Next Door, and Demenz Delivery services.
Derrick is a professional networker and a philanthropist. He owns an organization called Medicaid Ghana which is known for bringing primary healthcare to the doorstep of the less privileged in society.
Derrick is a presidential candidate in the upcoming COHK SRC elections.
“I appreciate your support through prayers and voting that saw me win two awards. I believe we would replicate this same support in the coming days as we go to the polls, to eventually make me win the SRC Presidency position,” Demenz stated shortly after receiving the second award.
In an interview with ghananewsonline.com.gh on the sidelines of the awards ceremony, Demenz was full of appreciation for his fellow students who he claimed have supported all his businesses to grow.
“Without the support of my colleagues I don’t think I’ll have gotten the recognition for any of the things that I do. I owe it all to my fellow students in COHK. God bless you all,” he stated.
