Deputy Ministerial Nomination: Patriotic Elites expresses appreciation in youthful appointment
On Wednesday, 21st April, 2021, the President submitted a list of 39 persons who have been nominated to serve as deputy ministers in various portfolios. We as a youth volunteer group of the New Patriotic Party expresses our sincere gratitude to the President, His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo for the appointment of a great number of youths to take up various roles as deputy ministers.
We believe that, this has been one of the inspiring steps taken by the President ever since he took office in January, 2017 when he appointed a large of young persons to take up various roles in the State Agencies especially the role of the Chief Executive Officer. This batch of appointment has not also come to us as a surprise as, this has been the norm of the President.
It is our believe that, His Excellency the President has found some value and virtue in the youths of the NPP and by extension the youth of Ghana, and also has a great vision for youth development.
Additionally, this is a sign of the President’s commitment to grow a Ghana Beyond Aid where its youth have built its capacity to be resilient, vision-driven and passionate about growing Ghana in our own way.
The Implementation of the Free SHS Programme, the initiation of the NEIP, the revamping of the YEA, the introduction of NABCO, and many other youth development programmes by His Excellency the President from his first term till now is enormous.
We continue to admonish the youths of Ghana to desire and aspire to grow and develop its capacity. We would like to encourage more youths to actively participate in the nation building agenda by showing high level dedication and commitment to every work they find themselves doing to benefit the wellbeing of our motherland.
We will also use this opportunity to invite more youths to join us as a volunteer group which is designed to help communicate the work of the government to the understanding of the lower-level Ghanaian who might not be privileged to understand the terminologies and the political and governance jargons.
We wish all youth appointees of the President well, we pray that they will excel and prove to the world their capacity regardless of their age and status as youths.
Fellow Patriotic Appointees, our charge to you is that, YOU SHOULD WORK HARD TO VINDICATE THE PRESIDENT’S DECISION OF APPOINTING YOU TO WHATEVER ROLE OR POSITION YOU FIND YOURSELF NOW.
