Her name is Jackie Appiah, a famous Ghanaian actress and film producer.

Jackie Appiah was born on December 5, 1983 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She’ll be 41 years old this year. She is the last of five children.

She spent her early childhood in Canada, and moved to Ghana with her mother at the age of 10. Her father is Kwabena Appiah and her mother Janet Owusu.

Jackie Appiah completed both her primary and her secondary school education in Accra, Ghana and obtained both her First School Leaving Certificate and West Africa Senior School Certificate. While still in secondary school, she was actively involved in her school drama.

After completing her primary and secondary school education, Jackie Appiah proceeded further to University of Ghana in Accra and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts.

After completing her university education, Jackie Appiah went in modeling and modeled for different brands in Accra, Ghana before deciding to try her skill in acting.

In 2001, Jackie Appiah joined the Ghana movie industry popularly known as Ghallywood and made her first appearance on screen when she was invited by Edward Seddoh to play the role of Enyonam Blagogee.

Her role in that movie prepared her and ushered her into the make-believe industry. After her first movie, Jackie Appiah later took part in many other blockbusters movies in Ghana which include Tentacles, Games People Play, Sun-city, The King Is Mine and many more.

In 2006, she acted in the Ghanaian movie “Beyonce: The President’s Daughter, starring alongside Van Vicker, Nadia Buari, Kalsoume Sinare, amongst others.

Still in 2006, she featured in the movie “Mummy’s Daughter”, directed by Frank Rajah Arase and starring Kofi Arjorlolo, Nadia Buari, Kalsoume Sinare, Van Vicker, to mention a few.

In 2007, she played the supporting role in the movie “Princess Tyra”, starring Van Vicker, Yvonne Nelson, Kalsoume Sinare, etc.

Jackie Appiah has also featured in several Nollywood movies like Black Soul, Bitter Blessing, My Last Wedding and several others.

Jackie Appiah is very beautiful, gifted, skillful, creative and highly talented actress known for her good interpretation of movie roles. She knows how to interpret her role very well and can fit in any character assigned to her by movie directors and producers in Ghana and Nigeria

She is known for Beyoncé – The President Daughter (2006), Princess Tyra (2007), The King Is Mine (2016).

In 2005, Jackie Appiah got married to Peter Agyemang with whom she had one son, Damien Agyemang. They divorced after three years of marriage.
