Dirty and Undignified Cash for Seat at GRA
Monies are being thrown about by certain personalities to some top government officials to lobby appointing authorities.
There are repulsive agenda among those who want to succeed the Rev. Dr. Ammishadai Owusu-Amoah, Commissioner General of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), although the government has asked him to stay on and perform his duties after attaining the mandatory retirement age.
Monies are being thrown about by certain personalities to some top government officials to lobby appointing authorities.
The Inquisitor has it that two former commissioners of the GRA are those spreading the cash to be considered to become the next Commissioner General of the state revenue outfit.
Interestingly, the two former commissioners left dirty legacies at the very place they want to return to as the overall boss of the GRA.
As a matter of fact, some influential personalities, both within and outside government, have been approached with some largesse to enable them to speak with appointing authorities to have them get the top position at the GRA.
The current Commissioner General of the GRA has been asked to remain at post, although he hit the mandatory retirement over a year ago.
