According to the MP, who is also the Minister of Education, the contribution of the Muslim Community towards the development of the Manhyia area over the years was something that he would always appreciate.

He said: ‘’Our Muslim fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters have over the years displayed peace, unity love and harmony in the area and must be applauded for that unique way of leaving together.’’

‘’The same level of tolerance, peace and unity must be displayed before, during and after December 2020 elections. We must at all times defend what brings us together as one people’’ he said.

Dr. Prempeh said that it was incumbent on the Muslims to pray for the good of Manhyia South, Ghana and the rest of the world at these abnormal times.

‘’Let us use the Eid-Al-Adha for special prayers towards a peaceful Ghana as it is an election year and also pray for the whole world to overcome the deadly COVID-19,’’ he said.

He said: ‘’Don’t allow anyone to deceive you that COVID-19 is not real, the virus is causing havoc irrespective of ones age, standing in society, political or religious affiliation.’’

Dr. Prempeh said it was important for all safety protocols on COVID-19 to be observed religiously to avoid the spread of the deadly virus.

On the ongoing voter registration exercise, he said in the message that all those who are qualified should endeavour to register since it was a civic duty to be part of that exercise.
