Dr Bawumia is behind all the sufferings; don’t force him on Ghanaians – Akamba replies Kwame Pianim
Captain Akamba asked if Mr. Pianim will ever allow an inexperienced mate to drive him through the streets of Accra.
A former National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joshua Hamidu Akamba, has advised renowned economist, Kwame Pianim, not to force Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on Ghanaians by asking them to choose Dr Bawumia over John Mahama.
According to him, telling Ghanaians to vote for Dr Bawumia in the December 7 General Elections will spell doom for the country. He said the Dr Bawumia that he is campaigning for is the very person who has plunged the country into untold economic hardships.
He made this comments when Mr Pianim urged Ghanaians to choose the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as president ahead of NDC’s John Dramani Mahama.
Mr. Pianim who is also an advisor on Bawumia’s campaign team told Joy News in an interview that he foresees Ghana’s developmental transformation if Dr Bawumia is voted as the next president of Ghana.
He said Mr Mahama has nothing new to offer Ghanaians having been given the nod as president in 2012.
“Mahama has been a president, Bawumia hasn’t, so why don’t we give him the chance so we see what he can do?” he noted.
But in a rebuttal, Captain Akamba asked if Mr. Pianim will ever allow an inexperienced mate to drive him through the streets of Accra.
Mr Akamba reiterated that, the current economic situation the country is experiencing was borne out of Akufo-Addo and Bawumia’s mismanagement.
Mr Akamba indicated that Akufo-Addo knew Dr. Bawumia was highly incompetent that’s why his much touted economic lectures on economic policies have become a fiasco.
Mr Akamba said it would be politically suicidal if Dr Bawumia is given the opportunity to rule as president because his high level of incompetence will further worsen the country’s economic woes.
He emphasized that Ghanaians are yearning for a president like John Mahama who’s experience in governance to save the country’s economic downturn.
He appealed to Ghanaians to vote massively for John Mahama and the NDC and not to try a political amateur like Bawumia.
