Dr. Ishmael Yamson Backs President Mahama as Ghana’s Economic Reset Button

Dr. Ishmael Yamson, Chairman of the National Economic Dialogue, has endorsed former President John Dramani Mahama as the leader capable of steering Ghana toward economic recovery and sustainable growth.

Speaking at the opening of the National Economic Dialogue on Monday, March 3, 2025, Dr. Yamson underscored the urgent need for transformative leadership to address Ghana’s deepening economic challenges, which he attributed to mismanagement and corruption.

In a strong call for change, Dr. Yamson declared, “Someone must reset Ghana, and it can only be you, H.E. John Dramani Mahama. Everywhere in the world, economic transformation has been driven by a single visionary leader, and the Lord has blessed you with the wisdom to take on this task.”

He urged Mahama to take bold steps in leading Ghana’s economic recovery, emphasizing the need to free the country from the grip of poor governance. “It is time to liberate Ghana from economic mismanagement and corruption, to reset the nation and place it on the path to sustainable and resilient growth,” he stated.
