Ghana’s Energy Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh addressed the inaugural Africa Energy Technology Conference last Tuesday at the Labadi Beach Hotel.
The event is happening for the first time in Ghana, under the aegis of the Ministry of Energy in partnership with the Africa Energy Technology Center.
As the sector Minister of the governmental partner and country host to the groundbreaking event on theme “Africa at the Forefront of Energy Technology and Policy Integration in a Just Energy Transition”, he indicated clearly that, Africa, with its abundant natural resources and burgeoning population, has a unique opportunity to harness energy technologies to leapfrog into a sustainable energy future.
