Drama as Tsatsu Tsikata causes stir and does the ‘unexpected’ at the Supreme Court today
Today, February 5, 2021 marked the Day 10 of the hearing of the petition filed by Mr. Mahama at the Supreme Court. Mr. Mahama has registered his displeasure over the outcome of the disputed 2020 general elections and praying the Court to dismiss and conduct another elections. His argument rests on grounds that his exclusive audit defies the claim that Nana Akuffo Addo got more than fifty percent of the total valid votes cast.
The 3rd witness for Mahama, Mr. Robert Joseph Mettle-Nunoo appeared in a video conference to testify on behalf of the Petitioner. Mr. Rojo Mettle Nunoo was one of the agents for the NDC in the National Collation strong room and could be assumed to have facts about what actually transpired at the centre.

Ghanaians witnessed another series of drama in the Court as the Lead Counsels for the 1st and 2nd Respondents objected to some paragraphs in the witness statement filed by the 3rd witness for the petitioner. The two astute lawyers joined forces to argue that the claims in the aforementioned paragraphs do not reflect the case at hand. As we communicate now, a total of 23 paragraphs has triggered a longstanding tussle between the Lawyers.
Tsatsu Tsikata does something unexpected and exceptional as he mocked a strong defense to the disputed paragraphs and responded to some of the claims. Mr. Tsatsu Tsikata argues that there is no grounds for any part of the statement to be dismissed as they all account for what happened on December 7, 2020. Unexpectedly, he responded to some of the specific paragraphs that had earlier been objected.
