Drivers, artisans abandoned work to join NDC Victory 2020 Walk

Some Trotro and Taxi drivers operating within the Adentan constituency as well as artisans abandoned their work last Saturday (18th January, 2020) to join the Adentan branch of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Victory 2020 Walk.

Most of the drivers Today can confirmed upon seeing the larger ‘army’ of NDC supporters and party faithful parked their cars and joined the long possession amidst brass band music.

The long possession (walk) which began around 7:15 am from the Adentan NDC constituency party office went through the Adenta Main Lorry station, through some principal streets within the Adenta SSINT Flats to Lotto Kiosk to Adenta Shopping Mall through Adenta-Housing Down to Container and went straight to Aviation road to 3rd Gate and branch through the left to the Ashale Botwey main road, ended up at Nii Ashaley Cluster of Schools park with some basic aerobics workouts.

The Adentan Constituency Victory 2020 Walk which marks the first political activities of the Greater Accra regional branch of the great Akatamanso family was put together by the Adentan Branch Chairpersons Caucus (ABCC) in collaboration with the Constituency Executive Committee (CEC)

 

The Victory 2020 Walk was on the theme: “Walking in Unity for Victory 2020”

Some members of the party used the opportunity to also engaged shop owners/Keeper, buyers, commuters, and passer-byers on what NDC stand to offer Ghanaians and especially the good people of Adentan Constituency.

Again some private motorists and other well-meaning Ghanaians who drove pass the long possession were seen showing the change sign, while others were heard shouting “we’ll change the change” as show of love and clamour for the ND C to return to power.

 

Addressing party faithful’s and sympathizes after the walk, the NDC’s 2020 Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for the Adentan, Mr. Mohammed Adamu Ramadan tasked the teeming supporters and party loyalists to move into every nook and cranny in the Adentan constituency to preach the good news about the second coming of John Dramani Mahama, himself (Adamu Ramadan) and the NDC to youths, young men and women as well as the aged to choose NDC above any other party come election 2020.

Mr. Adamu Ramadan was very optimistic that the largest opposition party will win a one touch victory come 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections.

He appealed to the members of the constituency to put in more efforts, time and resources to rescue power from the failed Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration.

The Adentan NDC’s 2020 PC who was also the party’s 2016 PC indicated that the constituency and himself  has learnt from the mistakes that led to the party’s defeat in 2016.

He, therefore, appealed to all and sundry both those in and outside the constituency, especially wards and branch executives to be more vigilant in the upcoming 2020 parliamentary and presidential elections.

On his part, the NDC PC for Madina Constituency, Lawyer Francis Xevier Sosu, who took part in the walk in solidarity, reminded the gathering of the failed NPP 2016 electioneering promises and urged them to vote out the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led government.

Some top personalities in the party who graced the occasion are: the NDC PCs for Ayawaso West Wuogon, and Okaikwei Central constituencies, Mr. John Dumelo, and Abdul Rashid Issah respectively, former Women’s Organiser- Zongo for Mahama – Hajia Mariam Dzifa Ibrahim, immediate past MCE for Adentan – Mr. Benjamin Angenu, and former Presiding Member -Dr. Desmond Ayi-Boi.

Others were the National Executive Member, Chief Sofo Azorka, some past government appointees, the current constituency chairman and his executives, past constituency executive members and many others.
