President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has announced that Ghana’s recent power supply issues, characterized by erratic outages known as “dumsor,” have been effectively resolved.

Speaking at the annual May Day celebration in Accra, the President conveyed his gratitude to the people of Ghana for their patience during the challenging period of unstable electricity. He emphasized that the obstacles to a consistent power supply have been successfully overcome, leading to a more stable and reliable electricity grid.

“As your president, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all Ghanaians for their patience and understanding of recent temporary challenges with the electricity supply experienced across the country. Over the period, the issues surrounding maintenance of transformers and gas supply have been successfully resolved resulting in the supply of electricity supply reliability.”

The President highlighted that the nation’s electricity supply has remained stable, with no reports of load-shedding in the past few days.
