Since her passing, no one has filled her shoes. Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, widely known by her stage name Ebony Reigns or “90s Bad Gal,” was born on February 16, 1997, in Kumasi to Nana Opoku Kwarteng and Beatrice Oppong Martin. Though born in Kumasi, her roots are in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana.

Ebony’s early education began at Seven Great Princes Academy in Dansoman, Accra, and later continued at Mamfe Methodist Girls High School in the Eastern Region. However, her academic journey came to a halt when she decided to pursue a career in music.

Tragically, just ten days before her 21st birthday, Ebony’s life was cut short in a car accident on her way from Sunyani to Accra. She passed away alongside her close friend, Franklina Yaa Nkansah Kuri, and a military officer, Atsu Vondee.

Ebony’s legacy endures. She reigns, even in death.
