EC holds orientation for political party agents today ahead of ballot paper printing

The Electoral Commission (EC) is set to conduct an orientation session today, Thursday, 10 October 2024, for agents representing various political parties in preparation for the printing of ballot papers for the upcoming general elections.

The session will take place at the EC’s headquarters in Accra.

This orientation is part of the EC’s ongoing efforts to ensure transparency and proper oversight during the ballot paper printing process, which is scheduled to commence on Friday, 11 October 2024.

In anticipation of this, the EC has requested all political parties to submit the names of their selected agents who will supervise the printing of the notice of polls and ballot papers.

Samuel Tettey, the Deputy Chairman for Operations at the EC, emphasised the importance of attendance for the agents in a statement.

“The selected agents are kindly requested to report to the Director, Electoral Services on Thursday, 10th October 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Electoral Commission’s corporate office for a brief orientation before the commencement of the printing,” he stated.
