The Ministry of Education says that it has never engaged with private schools to discuss how to facilitate the extension of the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) to such schools.

According to the ministry, the sector Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh in his engagements with the Ghana National Association of Private Schools (GNAPS) and other stakeholders on September 2 and 3, 2020 never touched on the extension of Free SHS to private schools.
