Professor Christopher Ameyaw-Akumfi, a New Patriotic Party’s National Council of Elders member, has urged the party to heed the lessons from the recent Ejisu By-election as they gear up for the pivotal December 7 general elections.

Despite Lawyer Kwabena Boateng’s victory in retaining the Ejisu Constituency Parliamentary Seat for the ruling party with 55.8% of the vote, the significant support for independent candidate Hon. Kwabena Owusu Aduomi signals internal disunity and apathy within the NPP ranks.

National Chairman Stephen Ayensu Ntim’s discontent with the results underscores the urgency for reconciliation within the party.

Professor Ameyaw-Akumfi, speaking on ASTA FM, echoes this sentiment, emphasizing the need for unity not only in Ejisu but across the nation to address internal conflicts.
