Election 2020: Don’t be deceived by the devil – NPP MP Cautions

The Honourable Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bosomeho Freho Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Joyce Akoh Dei, has adviced Ghanaians not to allow themselves to be decieved by the sweet and juicy promises that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) might come up with ahead of the general elections in December22020, because accordingto hher the NDC has nothing to offer the good people of Ghana.

The MP who was speaking in an interview with Ghananewsonline.com.gh at her residence while accessing her performance as the political leader of her constituency in the year 2019 classified the opposition NDC as the devil who wants to come and steal, kill and distroy the great policies and programmes initiated by the Akufo-Addo led NPP government.

She quoted the scripture: “the thief cometh not, but to steal and to kill and to distroy; I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” to support her view.

Recounting the challengies the nation was allegedly facing under the era of former President Mahama, she said the country was in total darkness as a result of power crises otherwise known as”dumso”, managing the country with bad economic management team that could not think for the socioeconomic growth of the country as the country sought policy directions from the International Monitory Fund (IMF), high cedi depreciation, freezing of public sector employment, the cancellation of teachers and nursing training allowances, among others which according to her brought the country to a stand still.

“It has to take a visionary leader like His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and an excellent economic management team led by Dr Bawumia to reverse the socio-economic fortunes of the country, in just three years the country is back on her feet installing teachers and nursing training allowance, implementing Free Senior High School Policy, Planting for Food and Jobs, Planting for Export and Rural Development, Rearing for Food and Jobs, NABCO, and other policies making the country one of the fast growing economy in the world”.

Joyce Akoh Dei apealed to her constituents to massively endorse her did as the parliamentary candidate for her constituency again as the party prepares to go into parliamentary primaries by April 2020.

Within the last three years, the MP has used her office to secure job opportunities for over 450 persons across the constituency and has also initiated other development projects that are in the interest of communities – this include construction of teachers bangalows, classroom blocks, Community social centers, toilet facilities across the constituency, ongoing drilling of boreholes, extension of electricity to over 35 communities, among others.
