The embattled businessman in the ambulance trial case involving the Minority leader Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has assured Ghanaians that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is leaving no stone unturned security-wise, as far as the December election is concerned.

Mr. Jakpa, who was recently acquitted and discharged by the Court of Appeal together with Dr. Ato Forson, was spotted with John Dramani Mahama during his campaign tour of the Upper East Region.

When TV3’s Komla Klutse asked what his business on the ground was, Mr. Jakpa indicated that he needed to support his party to ensure they do not resort to the courts for declaration after the December polls.

He says as a person with security background, although he is not from the Upper East Region, he is a northerner and knows his people well, assuring that he will deploy every intelligence he has to ensure they protect the ballots come December.

“My party’s security needs to be beefed up. JDM needs to have a security beef up so any sacrifice we need to sacrifice to make sure that Ghanaians’ votes are protected, JDM is alive to rule this country to give development infrastructure to Ghanaians as expected is what we are doing.

“I’m just here doing what is required of me. I’m not from this constituency but I’m from the north so I understand my people very well. We are all sacrificing. It’s not a one man job. He alone as JDM cannot do it so we need different expertise to help him.

“We are leaving no stone unturned, we are doing everything, Ghanaians to be assured that, NDC, in terms of security, it is going to be top notch. We are going to the polling stations down there and we are taking the battle to them down there. This time around, we have no business in the court. it’s going to be at the polling station and we are going to battle it out over there,” he disclosed.
