Emefa Apawu writes: Shortage of Vaccines – Who speaks for the Babies?
The height of wickedness this time towards children and helpless mothers is amazing.
What kind of country is this?
A country that neglects babies?
Vaccines are not available to immunize babies and no one is angry?
Who speaks for these babies?
Are we not worried about the effect of the lack of immunization on these babies?
Is this not a national emergency?
Is it because those who are supposed to take action can afford to take their wives, Partners, Children and girlfriends abroad to deliver?
The height of wickedness this time towards children and helpless mothers is amazing.
How many years did it take us to fight these 6 childhood killer diseases even though there are more now? Not to talk of the amount of money we pumped into media campaigns and education at the time.
We are rolling back the gains we have made as a society so many years back.
These are not drugs we can walk into a pharmacy shop to buy even if you have money…
We are all busily talking about which horse is fit to grab the reigns of this nation….and others busily looting, while babies are dying because the vaccine that is supposed to be administered from birth to 18months is simply unavailable for three months now and mothers are being turned away…
Did I hear officials say the shortage of the vaccines a is because of the depreciation of the cedi? Herrrrhhhhh.
Don’t forget there is an outbreak of measles in some parts of the country as well.
Do we have people in charge of this country at all?
Or we are waiting for the situation to get out of control for us to use more money that you can steal, to deal with the situation. YOU ARE WICKED!
And before you come here to do that dirty, outdated, unimpressive, stomach direction, politics of yours, take a good look at the nearest new born baby and ask yourself what She/He has done to deserve this kind of treatment…..
