Arsenal has picked its fourth defeat in the English Premier League at home to Aston Villa in yesterday’s encounter at the Emirate Sports Stadium.

The visitors took the lead midway through the first half when Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, turned an Aston Villa cross into his own net. Aston Villa’s young forward, Ollie Watkins, shuttered the hopes of a possible Arsenal comeback as he scored twice to seal the victory for his club.

Ollie Watkins said in a post-match interview that it was “unbelievable” to score against the team he supports as his double helped Aston Villa claim an impressive three points to move up to the sixth position in the Premier League.

Arsenal boss Arteta said he took full responsibility for his side’s 3-0 defeat. “I take full responsibility. I am responsible to make the team perform on the pitch and today we were not a team and it is my job – it is why I am standing here.” Arsenal’s boss added.

Meanwhile, newly signed Ghanaian international, Thomas Partey, picked up an injury during yesterday’s defeat to Arsenal Villa. Information about the midfielder’s injury is yet to be released after a medical examination by the team’s medical team.
