Expect Thunderstorms with Rain Later Today- GMet

The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has issued a weather forecast predicting rains accompanied by gusty winds and lightning in parts of the country.

According to the Agency, the rain will be sponsored by moderate to heavy rainstorms in Benin.

This will create varying intensity of rain in the northern sector of the country from Thursday afternoon through to the night.

“A moderate to heavy rainstorm observed over Benin is expected to propagate westward to affect areas in the northern and transition sectors with thunderstorms and rain with varying intensity from this afternoon into the night.”

Areas to be affected are Nalerigu, Gushiegu, Chereponi, Saboba, Bolgatanga, Kpandae, Tamale, Savelugu, Daboya, Yendi, Wa, Funsi, Bole, Damongo and Yipala.

The GMets said the Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo regions will also have their fair share of the oncoming rainstorm.
