EXPOSED: Akufo-Addo-Bawumia Administration’s Sabotage of Ghana’s Economy: A Tale of Dumsor and Economic Woes
As a last resort, load shedding measures will be implemented to maintain grid stability and prevent widespread power outages. The government is currently working to secure the necessary funds and implement these measures to prevent a major power crisis.
The outgone Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration’s highly activated sabotage of Ghana’s economy has been exposed, revealing a trail of deliberate actions aimed at undermining the country’s progress.
According to reports, the previous government deliberately delayed presenting an interim budget for the first quarter, making it challenging for the new administration that’s the NDC to take office.
This move was not only a blatant disregard for the country’s economic well-being but also a calculated attempt to tie the hands of the John mahama’s administration.
Furthermore, the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration demanded tax waivers for their affiliated companies, exacerbating the situation and leaving the country’s economy in a precarious state.
In a shocking revelation, it has been discovered that the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government left Ghana with virtually no fuel to run power plants, setting the stage for a return to widespread power outages, commonly known as “Dumsor.” This deliberate act of sabotage has left Ghana on the brink of a major power crisis, with far-reaching consequences for businesses, industries, and households.
A report by the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) estimates that the country needs to secure approximately $90 million to purchase alternative fuel and maintain power generation. The West African Gas Pipeline (WAGP) is scheduled to shut down for maintenance from January 20 to February 16, 2025, which will significantly impact power generation, particularly in the Tema region.
To mitigate this, GRIDCo has outlined strategies to ensure a stable power supply during the shutdown period. The company plans to reschedule planned generator shutdowns to minimize the impact of the WAGP maintenance. Additionally, GRIDCo will secure alternative fuel sources, such as light crude oil, to power thermal plants and maintain power generation.
As a last resort, load shedding measures will be implemented to maintain grid stability and prevent widespread power outages. The government is currently working to secure the necessary funds and implement these measures to prevent a major power crisis.
President John Mahama has taken swift action, directing the Chief of Staff to convene an emergency meeting with key stakeholders in the energy sector to address the looming power crisis. The Institute of Energy Security (IES) has also urged the Mahama administration to act swiftly to avert the impending dumsor.
The John mahama’s administration prompt response to this crisis is a testament to its commitment to the well-being of Ghanaians.
Despite the challenges left behind by the previous administration, the new NDC government is poised to reset Ghana and ensure a stable and prosperous future for the Masses. #John mahama will surely deliver#
