FactCheck: PRESIDENT JOHN MAHAMA’S GOVERNMENT PERFORMED BETTER IN ALL SECTORS THAN THE PRESENT REGIME
President Akufo-Addo cannot boast of any development project his three years. When juxtaposed with the performance of former President Mahama, it becomes clear that Akufo-Addo is not and cannot be a match for John Mahama. Let’s look at the Communication and Housing sectors – These are some of the projects and policies initiated and completed by the Mahama administration. Few were at the completion stage. –
-The largest Data Center in West Africa (The National Data Center)

-Eastern Corridor Fibre optic.

-Telecom and Broadcasting Regulation Tower

-School Connectivity- Nursing Training Colleges and Senior High Schools
-Solar powered Rural Telephony Masts
-Booths for the Disability Employment Project
-ICT Support for schools for the Disabled
-Post Office Connectivity
-Distribution of ICT equipment and software to selected schools
-Automated Tax Administration System for filing tax returns.

-As at August 2015, fixed and mobile telephone subscriptions were 33,099,514 as compared to a little over 11 million in 2008
-Establishment of the National Emergency Call Centres

Mobile telephony subscription jumped from a little over 11 million to 35 million
-Data subscription was above 18 million;
-In the second quarter of 2016 the total number of short message services across networks hit the 511,858,875 mark

-The Saglemi Housing Project – 5,000 housing units

-Security Services Housing Scheme – 168 housing unit with related infrastructure in Team made up of 136 two bedroom and 32 three bedroom flats and work was fast progressing fast on the construction of 368 housing units
-Keta Sea Defence Resettlement Housing Scheme.
