FDA goes after unlicensed eateries nationwide
“In line with the FDA’s directive that all Food Service Establishments must be licenced, the Authority has embarked on a nationwide exercise to shut down eateries that have not regularized their activities with the FDA,” it stated.
The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has begun a nationwide exercise to close down all eateries that have not been licensed.
The FDA IN 2022, urged all operators of food service establishments to obtain valid Food Hygiene Permit.
The permit is aimed at encouraging sellers to follow hygienic procedures.
Meanwhile, the authority in line with its directives, has commenced an exercise to shut down all eateries that have not complied with the FDA regulations.
“In line with the FDA’s directive that all Food Service Establishments must be licenced, the Authority has embarked on a nationwide exercise to shut down eateries that have not regularized their activities with the FDA,” it stated.
The FDA cautioned and advised consumers to check for food hygiene permits before they buy food from any eatery.
