Reports indicate that actress and social influencer Fella Makafui is in the grips of the police for the promotion and sale of unregistered body enhancement products.
A statement released by Akwasi Koranteng, the lead investigator at ISPYGH 247, an investigative documentary filmmaking firm, said she was rounded up following months of investigation into her activities.
She was arrested on May 22, 2024 and granted bail on the same day, according to the statement.
“After six months of meticulous monitoring of Fella’s social media posts on TikTok and Instagram.”
Her case borders on sale of unregistered drugs; false advertising; and publishing unapproved adverts by the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA).
The statement said 16 of her products were seized as evidence during her arrest at Mempeasem shop.
“During questioning, Fella confessed that most of the drugs she sold were not registered by the FDA. She has since been granted bail.”
It added, “This joint operation aims to protect the public from harmful and unapproved products, ensuring the highest level of pharmaceutical care and competent providers.”
It comes in the wake of her wrangle with her estranged husband, Medikal.
