A fifty-year-old man, Kofi Oppong aka Owuo has committed suicide after shooting his wife Yaa Sophia at Berekum- Biadan.
As to what actually called for his action is not known but the father of the woman tells Rainbow news that there were marital issues between them and he attests to that of which they were finding ways to address.
He told Rainbow Radio’s Abdul Razak that the woman had accused the husband of infidelity.
According to him, the woman had accused her co-tenants of finding women for the husband to cheat with.
The bereaved father said he constantly sat with the two to address the issue until another incident occurred on Tuesday leading to the unfortunate incident.
He said the suspect who is currently on the run had promised not to entertain the female tenants who he was accused of having an affair with.
He indicated that her daughter packed out of the marital home following which the husband confronted him to ask the daughter why she did that.
When he confronted the daughter, she said the issue that she had been complaining about had related itself.
The victim is currently at the Holy Family Hospital in Brekum.
Our reporter Abdul Razak told Nyankonton Nsem that the victim is in a critical condition whereas the body of the late husband has been deposited at the morgue.
