#FixTheCountry: GhOne TV’s Nana Aba ‘fixes’ Metro TV’s ‘Coward’ Adom Otchere

#FixTheCountry: Screen goddess and journalist with Gh One TV, Nana Aba Anamoah has chided colleague Metro TV journalist, Paul Adom-Otchere over the latter’s recent defense of the Akufo-Addo lead administration.

Nana Aba’s comment came at the back of a recent post made by Paul that roped in CSOs, media and former president Mahama as possible causes of Ghana’s mismanagement.

The hashtag #FixTheCountry, which has currently gathered more than half a million tweets has been trending on social media for some days now. The carriers of the tag line are attempting to put pressure on government of Ghana to address the numerous challenges of Ghanaians and Ghana as a whole.

The hashtag is an immediate response to increment in taxes, fuel and general commodity prices in the country.

Paul in a tweet prior to his program on Metro TV wrote: “#FixIt,#FixTheCountry, but whose fault is it, @JDMahama? @NAkufoAddo? COVID-19, CSO’s, Media, or whom?”

This post by Paul did not go down well with some people in Ghana. Such people believe former President of Ghana, Mr. John Mahama, was voted out due to supposed mismanagement in 2016 and that, roping him in on current challenges facing Ghana is hypocritical and an act of cowardice.

One of such Ghanaians is the vociferous Nana Aba Anamoah.

She wrote this in response to Paul:

“For once, be brave and tell this administration led by @NAkufoAddo to #FixTheCountry and stop dragging others in. Is John Mahama our President? CSOs, Media? Did we elect them? Stop this life!!” she posited on twitter.

Paul Adom-Otchere has come under recent attacks especially by elements of opposition political party, NDC, due to his ‘defense’ of the government. The vocal journalist is currently on the board of Ghana’s National Communication Authority (NCA). Some think it is the reason he is defending government at all fronts, but he has denied those claims.
